Hazrat Hassu was a saint who flourished at Lahore, Pakistan in the reign of Akbar.
He was a contemporary of Hazrat Lal Hussain. About Hazrat Hassu, Warris
Shah in his classical book ‘He has said: “Hassu is the Pir
of oilmen; The rod is the preceptor of those who
stray”.Hazrat Hassu died in 1593 AD. His tomb is situated off Abbot
Road, close to Scouts Headquarters. The tomb is on a raised platform,
and is without a dome. At one time the tomb was embellished, and was
surrounded by a garden. All these embellishments have now disappeared.
The saint is very popular with oilmen.
